A computer teacher, Mr Cosmos Ubaja has been arrested by the police in Lagos after r*ping a 14-year-old schoolgirl in the Owutu area of Ikorodu.

It was learnt that the victim, Victoria (real name withheld), was lured by the suspect when she went to his shop to make photocopies after school hours.

According to Punch, Victoria, who attends a public secondary school in Owutu, Ikorodu, had been allegedly r*ped by the suspect on several occasions in eight months.

The girl, who is in Junior Secondary School, Class 3, was given pittances such as N50, N100 and N30, each time the man slept with her.

It was learnt that the suspect, who owns a computer centre in the area, was contracted by the school to teach the junior pupils computer studies.

The suspect gave Victoria N30 after the latest encounter, which occurred on Wednesday, June 1, 2016.

A police source told Punch that the bubble burst when the girl complained to her mother that she had stomach pains and her menstrual cycle was affected.

She said, “Ubaja is married with a son. He is not a worker of the state government. The school just arranged with him to be teaching the pupils computer studies since he has a computer centre.

“He works on the school’s examination papers and answer sheets. The school is in a very quiet community. Pupils usually go to his centre to make photocopies and train with his computers.

“The suspect had been r*ping the girl for months. He gave her between N30 and N100 each time. The girl kept the secret away from her parents.

“But the last time he r*ped her, she complained to her mother that she was having stomach pains and her menstruation had stopped. She was then taken to a private hospital.

“That was where it was discovered that she had been r*ped several times. The girl confessed that it was the computer instructor who r*ped her and he was arrested. He has also confessed to the crime.”

President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday evening lambasted senate president, Bukola Saraki, following the insinuations by Saraki that he was no longer in control of the federal government.

In his words, “This misguided action by the Attorney General begs the question, how does this promote the public interest and benefit the nation?”

But the Presidency said the Attorney-General has no business with economy. His primary focus is crime and if you have committed a crime, he has to go after you.

It’s worthless fiction perhaps caused waking from a troubled sleep – Buhari
In his reaction, President Buhari said he regarded Saraki’s claim of a “government within government” as nothing but calling him a stooge.

His statement reads: “This claim by Senator Saraki would have been more worth the while, if it had been backed with more information.

“If he had proceeded to identify those who constitute the 'government within the government', it would have taken the issue beyond the realm of fiction and mere conjecture.

“But as it stands, the allegation is not even worth the paper on which it was written, as anybody can wake from a troubled sleep, and say anything.”

Sad Details: Nigerian Pastor in UK, Sam Kayode, Jailed 9years in UK's Biggest Education Scam (PHOTOS)

Any person that thinks he/she is the smartest among everybody around him is the greatest fool ever.

A London-based Nigerian, Pastor Sam Kayode has been jailed for nine years for stealing as much as £4.1million of British taxpayers’ money and lavishing it on four women.

The 59-year-old part-time pastor spent the cash on his real wife, a second ‘wife’ and two alleged lovers.

He bought luxury cars including a Mercedes, an Audi TT sports car and an Infiniti, and is also feared to have sent much of the money to Nigeria.

Pastor Kayode blamed the theft on his late wife Grace and an office junior. He said they conspired to smear him by transferring the money to his joint account in revenge for his "adultery".

But according to Mail Online, Pastor Kayode spent seven years looting the accounts of Haberdashers’ Aske’s state schools in south London, now an academy chain acclaimed by the Government.

During those years no questions were asked about the secretive man who locked himself in his office to work late, after arriving in a Mercedes, wearing £500 Gucci shoes and carrying a Louis Vuitton briefcase.

His boss, chief financial officer Paul Durgan, failed to notice a penny missing. He was busy lecturing other schools about how to run their finances, while Pastor Kayode was transferring school money into his own private bank account.

As well as spending money on his real wife Grace’s private health care – until her death aged 53, in 2013 – he also signed documents showing he was making investments with Miss Halima, and renting flats in Kent for ‘partners’ Toyin Lawal and Yetunde Turtak.

Fayose Reacts As EFCC Arrests His Close Aide Over Alleged N4.7billion Fraud

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested Abiodun Agbele, a close aide of Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti State.

Mr. Agbele was arrested in Lagos by operatives of the EFCC who had been on his trail in the past one week over allegations that he received huge public funds from former Minister Musiliu Obanikoro and delivered same to Governor Fayose.

He is currently being detained at the Lagos office of the anti-corruption agency.

When PT contacted the spokesperson for the EFCC, Wilson Uwujaren, he said he had not been briefed.

Lere Olayinka, a spokesperson for Governor Fayose, confirmed the development.

In a statement, Fayose's spokesman said, “Our attention has been drawn to the arrest of Mr Abiodun Agbele by the EFCC and we wish to say that we encourage the EFCC to carry out its investigations without politics as it is being done now.

“It must be pointed out that at no time was Mr Abiodun Agbele invited by the EFCC, and if he had been invited, he would have honoured the invitation. Therefore, there is nothing to celebrate in his arrest if it is not political.

“As already pointed out, Governor Ayodele Fayose does not have anything to do with any fund from the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA). He has stated how his election was funded and Zenith Bank that he said funded his election has not denied doing so.

“Also, the person said to have been arrested is an adult and will defend himself when the time comes. Subjecting him to media trial as EFCC has been doing since the inception of this government will only give our adversaries momentary sense of joy.

“We await reports of EFCC investigations and we hope that the anti-corruption agency will be civil enough to allow an open and transparent trial in competent court of law and not media trial just to get at Governor Fayose because of his uncompromising stance against the misrule of the APC/Buhari led federal government..."
