GlowBowl GB001 Motion Activated Toilet Nightlight

This unique product, a light for a toilet, works great as a nightlight for the bathroom. Motion activated so it only glows when a person approaches the toilet. While the concept sounds funny, it is a great light source during the night time hours for children and adults.

Similar to another available product on Amazon that was also kickstarted, this product resolves an issue the other one had in spades. The ability to stay in place on the bowl. This one uses a vinyl sheathed metal arm that you bend (make sure to over bend it a bit so it caches on the bowl) to fit any toilet. It is lighter than the other one by enough that the arm does the trick.
This one also incorporates a light sensor so it will turn off as soon as a bright enough light is turned on nearby. Additionally, this one has a warning indicator for when the batteries are ready to be replaced (it flashes the light red repeatedly). There is also an option to change the brightness along with making a carousel of colors.

All this makes it a bit better than the other except, it is hard plastic so it will slide around a bit if not placed properly. Also, the carousel of colors is instant change versus smooth transition. One rubber foot on the back could have remedied this.

The price was $19.99 when purchased - equal to the competing product.

Bottom line, if you tried the other product and couldn't get the suction cups to stay, this one will fix that problem and add a dimmer option along with a low-battery indicator, but, you will lose the smooth color transitioning carousel effect for a rapid color change or static color.
